Client’s Problem: We received an enquiry from a maintenance contractor who was looking to refresh the car park line markings at a DVSA Driving Test Centre in Hartlepool, County Durham. The existing line markings had not been re-done for many years so they had badly faded and some learner drivers had complained that they could not see the car parking bay lines when attempting their reverse parking manoeuvres!

Our Solution: The white lining work took place on the arranged day that suited the client. The existing road markings were blasted with a compressed air thermal lance to remove any loose material and prepare the surface to receive the new markings. The new line markings were then re-done in thermoplastic screed. As you can see from the before and after photos, the new line markings are much brighter and more visible. The learner drivers won’t have any excuse if they can’t reverse park into these parking bays now!
